The Southern Playas
Atlanta, Georgia. (MAY 31, 2024). Just in time for the summer, the southern
bass rap group “The Southern Playas”, announce the group’s new music release, a hit
single “Where Ya At.”
The Southern Playas are a group consisting of three multi-talented southern hip hop
rappers, BJ Bowman, Christopher Scott, and Troy Johnson who instantly rose to
fame with their late 90's platinum hit song “Dickey Ride”.

The hip hop group reunited earlier in 2022 after having pursued their solo careers and
adding a new member. The group recently got back into the studio and have not looked
back. The outcome of the reunion is an energetic, booty shaking, undeniable dance
track.
“We’re extremely excited about the new single, because we feel that it’s a game
changer, and an introduction to the versatility of “The Southern Playas”, said BJ
Bowman.
The Southern Playas are now under new management that’s based out of Albany, GA.
The single “Where Ya At”, is now available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple
Music, etc., and the highly anticipated video will soon be available on YouTube.
The single is laced with that brassy HBCU band sound, southern style bass drop and a
real catchy hook, all conducive to the Southern Playas vibrant sounds.

Prince Rahiem
Prince Rahiem, originally Rahiem Thomas, is an electrifying recording artist celebrated for his distinctive fusion of Miami Bass and Southern hip-hop. Hailing from Miami and raised in Queens, NY, he quickly garnered attention with his smooth vocals, infectious rhythm, and insightful lyrics. His music delves into the complexities of life, love, social justice, and simply having a good time, resonating with a wide-ranging audience.
A gold and multi-platinum selling artist, Prince Rahiem boasts five full-length albums, along with numerous singles and jingles featured on radio and television. His journey to fame began in the back streets of Hollis, Queens, where he honed his skills and seized an opportunity with Run DMC. However, his dreams turned into nightmares when his rap partner was tragically murdered, leaving him without both a deal and a collaborator. Undeterred, Rahiem relocated to Orlando, Florida, at just 14, where he joined forces with the legendary DJ Magic Mike to form The Get Funky Crew.

Over the years, he has collaborated with notable artists such as Inner Circle, Betty Wright, Rahzel of The Roots, and 2 Live Crew. He has also worked with renowned labels including Vision Records, Pandisc Records, Joey Boy, Warner Brothers, and Island Records. Rahiem has toured with some of the biggest names in the industry and continues to perform today.
In 2022, he launched a new chapter in his career by releasing his single "Bend Ova" under Allergik 2 Broke Ent., managed by Diggs Dynasty Management. With his sights set on new ventures, Rahiem is now focusing on behind-the-scenes work, including creating the Polk County Music Fest, and is poised to make an even greater impact on the music industry.
